My guess would be the game tried to acquire more memory and the system denied it, crashing the game. The Windows event viewer application log showed a memory error related to an access violation.

It's pretty much a mod manager for Stalker games. Some other post on this sub mentioned the tool and after I organized my mods with it I haven't gotten a SINGLE crash yet in COC. I kept giving up on COC because I kept getting errors and unhandled exceptions every time I tried to play. I am making this post to help fellow stalkers reduce crashes.
